The Backstreet Boys
' Unbreakable Tour was a 2008-2009 concert tour. This was the first Backstreet Boys tour without Kevin Richardson
. He did, however, join his band again at the end of the tour in Los Angeles.
The Unbreakable World Tour was also the group's first tour since the Never Gone World Tour in 2005. It kicked off in Japan with two sold out concerts in the Tokyo Dome
.
The group planned to make it a true world tour, hitting countries that they had not visited in years, along with visiting new countries, including their first stop ever on tour in Russia

The Luxembourg
date was suspended after a fire broke out at the venue the afternoon of the performance, no one was seriously injured, but there was damage to the group's wardrobe.

The group's sold out show at the O2 arena

was recorded for a webcast and tour DVD. Extra lighting and pyrotechnics was added to aid in the process.
On the final show of the Asian leg of the tour in Seoul, South Korea, the group changed things up and sang "Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon", and audience members threw paper airplanes around while the group performed "Inconsolable".
During a few shows on the European leg, the group performed their song "Siberia" from the album "Never Gone".
While on tour, the group announced that they would return to the studio on December 1, 2008 after a break for Thanksgiving, and begin to record their next CD, due out in 2009.

was the opening act on the North American tour.
Due to the popularity of the tour, the group announced on September 28, 2008, a second North American leg.

During the show at Los Angeles Kevin Richardson
surprisingly turned up to deafening screams and sang Shape of My Heart with the boys.
The show that was recorded was shown on VH1 in the UK on Friday 31 October 2008 at 9pm. However all solo songs were cut from the aired program, showing only the songs performed by all four Backstreet Boys.

The group is making the tour more like the one's they put on during the start of their career with more dancing than their previous tour. An interesting aspect of this tour is that each member will perform a solo number during the concert.
