Broadcasts

Series 4 began its first airing on Monday 15 February 2010 at 5.00pm. It is aired with one episode each weekday (including weekends), just as with series 3.

Arrival Day and Day 1 of the trip - Portsmouth

, the general reaction from the trippers was disappointment as in previous series the coach normally heads straight off to Europe. On the way, some couples introduced themselves with Ray telling all about his hobby - equestrianism

 - which was perceived as boring. The first activity was to go to the Spinnaker Tower

 which overlooked the docks. This is where Danny shared a joke about dry dock

s with Ray. However, Ray didn't get the joke and instead shared his knowledge about dry docks with Danny and his partner, Carol. Again, Danny found this boring. The younger passengers walked across the walk of death with Tam and Brendan doing a roll across it. Many of the couples found the tower boring. In between the activities, Brendan gave the couples their last British meal which was fish and chips

. Jenny didn't take part of this activity because she was scared of water. Again, most of the contestants didn't find the sailing activity exciting. At the vote, Raymond and Glenys got the most votes mainly because they didn't get to know the others.

Day 2 - Caen/Bayeux

. The group travelled to a World War II museum in Caen

. After Brendan announced this to the group, Jayson and Raymond had a short conversation about who Britain fought in each of the World Wars. At the museum, the group had a look at some of the weapons used during the war and Jayson decided that the Germans had better uniforms for the soldiers than the British. Then, the group travelled in a 1940s war truck around the area.

In the afternoon, the coach travelled to Bayeux

, where the couples took part in an archery

 activity. Most of the group are confused about how to use the bows and arrows. Matt and Paul won an archery competition. Raymond and Glenys received their second yellow card at the vote which became red and were asked to leave the Coach. Glenys was visibly very upset about this and snubbed many of the group's goodbyes, however she later exchanged goodbyes with Madge and Jenny.

Day 3 - Le Mans

The started with Tam & Jayson taking delays Brendan does not tolerate in hotels and it would be an automatic yellow card if Jayson doesn't hurry up so Tam get to hurry his mate up. Tam & Jayson nearly had timekeeping issues previously held by John and Kerrie 4 years ago. The group visited the Le Mans racing circuit home to the famous 24 hour motor racing. The group got asked to leave the racing circuit because of dangerous driving. Brendan said that "this is the 1st time on the Coach Trip that we got asked leave". The group then went to a stately garden where they tried snails and frog legs. Danny and Carol were awarded the yellow card today. After voting time Sel and Sheila arrived.

Day 4 - Chevreuse/Paris Part 1

, then arrived in Paris

 via EuroDisney where they had horsemeat for lunch, which made several people including Brendan uncomfortable. They then learned the Can-Can at a dance club. Jenny and Anne were awarded their first yellow card and Carol and Danny escaped their red card on Day 4.

Day 5 - Paris Part 2

The day started with a walk around Paris' streets. Brendan got lost on the way to the Eiffel Tower

, but the eventually arrived. Sel has a fear of heights so was scared about going up the tower. They took some pictures of the tower whilst Brendan gave the group some history on it. When they got to the entrance, Brendan had received some priority by going up in a different lift. However, the guides ignored the group a lot and as Brendan said "very unwelcoming." After a long wait they reached the first level of the tower where Sel waited in a Café.

The group were then told that only three people were allowed to the very top floor which again annoyed Brendan a lot. The three chosen to go up were Brenda, Paul and Jenny where the trio described the French people as "bad mannered" and "obnoxious." Shelia went back to Sel and persuaded him to fight his fear of heights and he went to see the view on the first floor of the tower. After that the group headed to a café and purchased hot dogs and baguettes for dinner. They sat down to eat near the Eiffel Tower

 where Danny proposed to Carol and she said "No." Whilst on their way to their activity Brendan pointed out some landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe

 and were split up into two teams. Danny, Carol, Jayson, Madge, Brenda, Tam,Paul and Matt were all in the team who won. At the vote with 3 votes against them, Brenda and Madge received their first yellow card and Jenny and Anne escaped their red card during Day 5.

Day 6 - Chablis

 with some rock-climbing and then zip wiring for the group. Then they had a picnic and they had some Champagne which was followed by wine tasting which turned out to be less of a success because they all tasted the same, according to the team. At the vote Carol & Danny got another yellow card which led to a red one as they had to leave the coach.

Day 7 - Dijon

, they had a practise on Segways where people crashed into each other. They then travelled on the Segways to a local restaurant

. After that they visited the Moutarde de Dijon where a local man gave information about the mustard making process and the history. Then they visited the actual factory where the mustard

In couples, they had to make their own mustard. At the vote Sel & Shelia and Brenda & Madge had 3 votes up which ended up a tie. In the end, Sel and Shelia got their first yellow card.

Day 8 - Lausanne

Anita and Lloyd joined the coach, the group moved from France which was a relief to all of them, their first activity was curling, and Jenna fell over and cracked her skull, luckily no damage was done. The group then had a tour around a medieval castle and had the opportunity to dress up which Jenny did not enjoy, at the voting it was so long for Brenda and Madge.

Day 9 - Saas-Fee

The day started earlier than usual in the morning. On the coach, Brendan introduced the new couple Lloyd and Anita who replaced Carol and Danny. The group travelled to Switzerland for the first time. For the groups first activity Brendan had planned a Cable Car trip up to the very top of the mountain in Switzerland, but because of bad weather they shut all of the Cable Cars and ski area was closed.
When the group went for lunch two of the tourists got quite drunk and made fools of themselves. Jayson Daniels, who cried at missing his boyfriend, revealed on his own blog to be an attempt to steal the cameras attention and boost his profile as he wants to be a TV Presenter. At the vote Sel & Sheila received another yellow card which made a red card, they said their goodbye's to the rest of the group and left the coach.

Day 10 (Day X) - Milan

The day began with Brendan welcoming a new couple, Dean and Jen on to the coach. The coach then travelled to Milan

. After lunch, Brendan took the group into the centre of Milan where the group split into two, where some visited the Milan Cathedral and the others went shopping. At voting time, Jenny and Anne received their second yellow card, giving them a red card resulting in them having to leave the coach.

Day 11 (Day XI) - Lake Garda/Desenzano Del Garda

The day started with the introduction of the couple replacing Jenny and Anne who were student and teacher – Bruce and Jon. Brendan announced the destination and the first activity which would be sailing. Unfortunately, to the group's disappointment, there was little wind resulting in a dull activity. So instead they decided to stay on the ship and chill out. However, after all of the group jumped into the lake apart from Jayson who cannot swim. They then went to a local farm to make fresh Italian ice cream. Before they started, they painted nail varnish onto each other. As the young members of the coach were separate from the others this led to speculation of a voting alliance by Bruce and Jon.

The group were then shown a demonstration by a local Italian guide on how to make the ice cream. The boys made cherry ice cream whilst the girls made chocolate. In the end, Brendan chose the girls' ice cream as the winner. They all tasted each others ice cream whilst Brendan ate all the flavours in the farm. At the vote despite immunity from the previous day Dean and Jen received their first yellow card.

Day 12 (Day XII) - Vicenza/Bassano Del Grappa

The day started off with the group waking up for the first time in a 5 star hotel. Certain members of the group explained at breakfast that there was trouble brewing after the previous nights vote. Shortly after the coach left the hotel, Tam and Jayson decided to start a celebration party in which everyone on the coach was invited to celebrate the start of a new week. However, Bruce wasn't interested and an argument suddenly occurred between Bruce from Bruce & Jon and Tam & Jayson about the allience. Jayson kept his cool along with Tam but Bruce was nearly up to boiling point (Jon and Lloyd tried to calm him down), but things quickly turned physical and Bruce attempted to grab Tam when he started taunting Bruce. The coach then stopped to let Bruce get some fresh air, to calm down and to allow to explain to Brendan on why the incident happened. However, Brendan then said to Bruce that verbal and physical abuse was not allowed on Coach Trip and gave Bruce and Jon an automatic red card. Tam and Jayson said they were okay and unhurt and even felt sorry for Bruce, but Jenna and Jodie were really upset that the incident scared them as they were sitting in-between the argument, Paul & Matt comforted them during a toilet break.
The group arrived to their activity and introduced the new couple, Mary and Mark replacing Sel & Sheila. They were shown how to carve stones and the group had a go. They then held a small competition and Dean and Jen won. They then made their way to make grappa, discarded bits from grape making wine. There was a twist to the vote due to the previous events in the day, they had to vote for the most popular couple to win a treat. There was a tie between Jodie & Jenna and Anita & Lloyd they had to draw straws. The winners in the end were Anita and Lloyd but they let Jodie & Jenna win. They won a penthouse suite with champagne and jacuzzi.

Day 13 (Day XIII) - Venice

The day started with Brendan explaining today's destination, Venice

. Much of the group were excited about visiting the city. They went on a boat along the rivers of Venice taking pictures and sightseeing, they then walked around Venice's streets and alleyways to the famous bridges and the place where Cassonova was imprisoned. They then had a lesson on gondoliering and travelled in their couples in their own gondolier. Brendan then took the group to the beach for the afternoon where the group chucked Brendan into the sea.
The vote was conducted on the coach and couples Anita & Lloyd and Tam & Jayson each got two votes against them resulting in a tie. The two couples were then led of the coach whilst the other members of the group came to a decision. After discussing who should get the yellow card they couldn't come to a decision and for the first time ever on coach trip, both couples received a yellow card.

Day 14 - Ljubljana

The day started with news of an argument between Lloyd and Mark. A new couple were introduced - Pat and Janet - replacing excluded couple Bruce & Jon, where they toured underground caves. They then tried out hovercrafts. At the vote, Mark and Mary got five votes and a yellow card.

Day 15 - Maribor

The Day started with the coach struggling to get out of the hotel due to a tight turn. After that, the couples went to see underground caves and went up a mountain, trying cable cars and swings. The guide for the day, Alex, took charge, leaving Brendan to wander in the fields. At the vote, Dean and Jen received 4 votes, their second yellow card and their red card and had to leave the trip.

Day 16 - Graz

At the start of the day, Lloyd entertained quitting the competition, saying that he missed home. In the morning, the contestants went to milk cows. In the afternoon, they went to a chocolate factory where they tried all sorts of chocolates, including chocolate syringes, which the younger contestants messed about with. Lloyd and Anita left the group for a while during this, needing fresh air and feeling unwell.At the vote, Lloyd and Anita and Pat and Janet drew the vote with two votes each, the group chose to award the yellow card to Lloyd and Anita which became a red card. At the end of the day, Jenna and Jodie, decided it was time for them to leave the coach due to commitments back at home.

Day 17 - Laz/Zagreb

The tourists headed off to Laz

, but Paul the driver got lost and they arrived two hours late to a lesson in making edible flowers. Paul, Tam and Jayson annoyed the guide and were sent back to the coach. The couples then visited a zoo in Zagreb

 and handled snakes. New couples Carla and Angie and Lynn and Becky joined. At the vote, Pat and Janet and Paul and Matt tied on two votes each: The yellow card went to Pat and Janet.

Day 19 - Belgrade

. The trip to Serbia wasn't interesting for Caroline and Russ because Serbia beat The United Kingdom in The Eurovision Song Contest.

Day 20 - Niš

, in Serbia, the group have an emotional and sobering visit to an old Nazi concentration Camp, followed by an afternoon folk dancing lesson to lift their spirits. At the vote Tam and Jayson are Finally voted off red-carded after surviving since day 1 by voting tactically.

Day 21 - Devil's Town

With Tam & Jayson and Mark & Mary gone there are 4 empty spare seats on the coach waiting to fill. The group head further east into a world heritage site ranked as the 77th wonder of the world. But the party are a bit underwhelmed. Later, at a local spa, Luke and his girlfriend's mum Trish are suitably embarrassed when they end up having a topless massage in the same room.

Day 22 - Sofia (Σοфiα)

A New couple who joined on the beginning of that day replacing Tam & Jayson were Twins Pat & Margaret. The group went to Sofia

Day 23 - Plovdiv (Πλοvδiv)

Day 25 - Istanbul Part 1 (Iσtαnβυλ pt.1)

Day 26 - Istanbul Part 2/Western Asia (Iσtαnβυλ pt.2/Wεσtεpn Aσiα)

The contestants visit a traditional market and take a boat trip across the Bosphorus to the Asian side of the city, however Dan makes a scene which irritates Paul. At the vote Paul & Matt were awarded their first yellow card.

At Istanbul the day began with many passengers vomiting on the coach due to drinking the night before. They then headed off for golf

Day 31 - Volos (Βόλος)

Day 32 - Delphi (Δελфοί)

Day 33 - Athens (Αөήnα)

Day 34 - Corinth or Corinthos (Κόpinөος)

 Canal. For the second activity, the group took a Canal boat down the Canal whilst having a history lesson from Brendan. At the vote, Sara and Vanessa got their first yellow card, although Pat and Margaret decided to walk from the coach trip due to Pat's failing health.

Day 35 - Nafplio/Ouzo (Ναύпλiω/Ωυζω)

With Paul & Matt and Pat & Margaret gone the day starts with 4 empty spare seats to be filled again until Nathan & Romane joined. The day begins with the group going to a stress-free bead making shop.
At the vote Sara and Vanessa get a second yellow card, which becomes a red card and so they say goodbye to the rest of the group.

Day 36 - Olympia (Ολυmпία)

The day starts with 4 empty spare seats again to be occupied until Graham and Ann joined.
Some of the tourists are nearly arrested for taking off their shirts in the street.
At the vote Nathan and Romane got yellow-carded and Russ and Caroline got red-carded for canvassing for votes.

Day 37 - Patras (Πάtpας)

The Day starts with 4 empty spare seats again until Darren & Mirian joined and Nathan and Romane force the coach to leave late due to spending most of the previous night trying to engage in sexual activity without success. For the second half of the day, Brendan places Vin in charge, as Vin aspires to be a tour guide like Brendan. Vin & Lin are red carded and missed out on a ferry trip after surviving a fortnight with a yellow card.

Day 38 (Day XXXVIII) - Matera

With Caroline & Russ and Vin & Lin gone the day starts off with 4 empty spare seats bad weather brewed and Jake felt seasick. Then the tourists went on the Flight of the Angel. Nathan, Romane, Carla, Angie, and Miriam all take part. At the vote Carla and Angie get their first yellow card

Day 39 (Day XXXIX) - Amalfi

The day starts again with 4 empty spare seats until the first 2 travelers were Paul Michael Jelley & Rob Ward who joined. The Caves were closed due to stormy seas. After lunch 2 more travelers were Caroline & Naomi who joined and the group made Italian lemon juice drinks. At the vote Carla & Angie received their second yellow card which became red and must now end their holiday tour.

Day 40 (Day XL) - Rome Part 1 (Pωmε pt.1)

Day 43 (Day XLIII) - South West Italy Part 1

Day 46 - Tunisia Part 1 (Tυniσiα pt.1)

. In the afternoon at a spa one of the tourists gets a massage to remember. At the vote Kim and Gary get a red card for a second rude behavioural offence after being voted by all the other couples.

Day 47 - Tunisia Part 2 (Tυniσiα pt.2)

Day 48 - Tυnisia part 3/Libya/Egypt (Tυniσiα pt.3/Λiβyα/Eгyпt)

New arrivals Sam and Donna introduced themselves on the coach which travels through the countryside en route for Nefta near the Algerian border and the Chott el Djerid salt flats. The group, including Brendan and coach driver Paul, went quad biking near Nefta before going to an oasis style hotel near Tozeur for lunch. The afternoon's activity featured snakes and scorpions with predictable false hysteria which was similar to the history of the Egyptians. At the last yellow and red card vote, Sam & Donna received their first and last yellow card. The group therefore remained intact for final travelling day 49.

Day 49 - The Sahara Deserts (Θε Σαhαpα Δεσεptς)

The tourists had lunch in a bedouin style tent on the edge of the Sahara desert. During an afternoon of entertainment, there was an argument between Nathan, Romane and Syreeta which Brendan had to intervene to stop during the end of lunch. At the vote, Graham and Ann were voted winners and won a holiday voucher prize (another coach trip) which they later donated to a charity auction.

Day 50 - The Last Day (Θε Λασt Δαy)

As is customary on Coach Trip, the final day involves Brendan sharing his thoughts on the series, revealing that his most unusual couples were Luke & Trish and Ron & Debs, his most favorites were Jenna & Jodie, Carla & Angie, and Paul & Matt. Tam & Jayson were also identified as most juvenile and irritating to the public despite being identified as most favourates, narrowly beating Nathan and Romane also identified as most favourates, and Brendan's least favourites were Bruce & Jon due to the fight on day 12.

Finally, Brendan bids farewell to the coach trippers and Paul before walking off into the airport terminal.
