Ayoob Kara
Ayoob Kara was a
Druze member
Knesset of the 15th and 16th sessions on behalf of the
Likud party. He is a major in the
Israeli Army and he studied Business Administration. He speaks English and Arabic as well as Hebrew.
In the 15th Knesset he was the Assistant Chairman of the assembly and the Chairman of the Exploratory Committee on Foreign Workers; in the 16th Knesset he was the Chairman of the Anti-Drug Committee.
During the months preceding
Israel's unilateral disengagement from the
Gaza Strip and northern
West Bank, MK Kara requested from then Prime Minister
Ariel Sharon that Druze soldiers not be assigned to tasks related to the disengagement, since the Druze opposed the disengagement and did not

Ayoob Kara was not elected to the 17th Knesset in an election where the Likud lost more than 2/3 of its mandates. Today he lives in the Druze town of Daliyat Al-Karmel, near
Haifa. He is married and has five children.
