, and its first campus outside of the UK opened in Toronto, Canada in February. LSBF's second international campus was opened in Singapore, offering preparatory courses for the ACCA professional qualification as well as Executive and Corporate Training.

The LSBF has signed partnership agreement with a leading Chinese University which will see the formation of a new institute, the Shanghai-London School of Business and Finance.

In June 2011 the LSBF opened a new campus in Singapore, currently the only Asia-Pacific campus of a UK-based business school.

In line with LSBF's expansion into the Far East, the school will offer bursaries to Singaporean students who have completed their ACCA studies to pursue Master's degrees online, or in the UK.

In 2010, with the introduction of the new Tier System by the UK Border Agency (UKBA), LSBF was one of the few institutions to be awarded the Highly Trusted Sponsor Status by the UKBA, and is also a BAC accredited Tier 4 sponsor. Its professional courses are regulated by the respective professional bodies such as CIM and ACCA, which both have their own strict accreditation standards. The ACCA course offered by LSBF is credited by ACCA as gold standard. LSBF’s English school is accredited by the British Council and is affiliated with English UK - the language teachers association. LSBF is listed on the UK Government’s Education (Listed Bodies) Order in 2010, laid before Parliament as a Statutory Instrument by the Minister of State for Universities and Science, David Willets, MP.

Online

The LSBF delivers a wide range of programs through an online learning platform called InterActive. This includes MBA, MSc in Finance, MSc in Marketing, ACCA, CIMA and CFA. Students have access to online classrooms, discussion forums and a range of resources including live and recorded video lectures, 24-hour technical support service, online library and Harvard Business School 'Case in Point' publications to support their learning activities. Students' activity is monitored and students who may have fallen behind are identified and supported.

In 2010 the LSBF developed two ground-breaking applications using the social media platform Facebook

: The LSBF Prep Centre for ACCA, a comprehensive study resource for students of ACCA, and the LSBF Global MBA, the world's first Masters degree that is delivered entirely on Facebook, in a ‘try before you buy’ manner. Both applications offer high quality study material that is available for all to view, free of charge. Students of the LSBF Global MBA have an additional option to opt in for evaluation and pay for qualification certified by the University of Wales. Both applications have been recognized and reported in national and international media: the LSBF Global MBA was featured in the likes of The New York Times, Reuters, and Bloomberg, while the LSBF Prep Centre for ACCA was awarded the ‘Study Resource of the Year’ by PQ Magazine in February 2011. As of February 2011, the LSBF Prep Centre for ACCA received over 36,000 likes on Facebook and the LSBF Global MBA got nearly 90,000.

In October 2011, the TV channel BBC3 featured LSBF School of English in a documentary about a group of young immigrants who went to the UK to realise their professional dreams. One of the students was an LSBF student who enrolled for an English course in order to be prepared for an important job interview.
