Edline is used to allow students to communicate with their teachers, and stay up to date with their homework assignments and standing in the class. Bergen Catholic has recently introduced Turnitin

, which offers an extensive plagiarism prevention tool utilized by most of the faculty. A new technology, DyKnow Monitoring, is often utilized to monitor students' screens and ensure that students are on task, as well as collect assignments via file transfer.

Activities

Activities within the school include CCA (Crusaders for Catholic Action, a Catholic activist group), the Student Government, The Herald school newspaper, The Crusader yearbook, a chorus group (which plays at all school liturgies), a jazz ensemble which performs both in and out of school, a dramatics club, ski club, chess club and team, math club and team, guidance club, stock market club, an award-winning mock trial team and a quiz bowl team.

Bergen Catholic also offers a program of intramural sports for students not on the school's interscholastic teams: golf, basketball, tennis, bowling, volleyball, and street hockey. A program of weight training is available.

BCTV is the school's own television crew. BCTV presents a TV show every day at 8 am before first period which shows the cafeteria menu for the day and the news of the day. Beginning with the 2011-12 school year, the departure of sports anchor Matt Orso has left a major void in the morning lineup, and the channel is still attempting to find a suitable replacement.

Mock trial team

. Bergen Catholic returned to the national championship hosted in Columbia, South Carolina in 2000 after going undefeated in the County, Regional and State tournaments. The 1999-2000 team ultimately finished 4th in the country, with three "Outstanding Attorney" awards.

In the 2004-05 season, the Bergen Catholic team was defeated at the county semi-final stage in an upset win by the team from Queen of Peace High School

. In 2010, the team defeated Mahwah High School to win the Bergen County Championship. The team then lost in the regional semi-finals, ending its season as one of the top ten teams in the state. The Bergen Catholic team fell to Mahwah High School in the semi-final round in the county tournament at the end of January 2011. Mahwah High School went on to win the 2011 Bergen County Championship.

Bergen Catholic has one of the most successful programs in New Jersey. The Crusaders are 16-time state champions (1963, 1965, 1966, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1986, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2004), while holding an all-time record of 365-130-12. A record of 99-10 between 1990 and 1999 made Bergen Catholic the most winning football program in the state of New Jersey for the decade of the 1990s. The Crusaders played Don Bosco Prep on December 3, 2010, at New Meadowlands Stadium for the 2010 Non-Public Group 4 State Championship, where the Crusaders lost to the Ironmen 37-27.

Wrestling

The Crusader wrestling program has been the most successful in Bergen County over the past two decades. Bergen Catholic has won the Bergen County Championship 15 times (1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007), most in county history and hold the record for most consecutive titles by winning nine straight from 1999-2007. The Crusaders have won the North Parochial "A" state sectional title 13 times (1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009) and in 5 of those seasons they have gone on to win the overall Parochial "A" state championship (1991, 1994, 1995, 2002 and 2003). Basketball

Bergen Catholic's basketball program is one of the top programs in North Jersey. Coach Chris Donfield led the Crusaders to great success for more than 30 years, from 1966-2000. Bergen Catholic won their first Bergen County Jamboree in 1977, and has a total of eight county championships with the most recent one in 2003. Bergen has dominated the Bergen County Jamboree throughout its history with the most total games played, total wins, and championship appearances. They also rank second in appearances and championships. Bergen has won nine North Parochial "A" state sectional championships and three Parochial "A" state championships.
