Government and politics
The Town of Oyster Bay has a government made up of a town supervisor (John Venditto) and a town council of six members (Joseph D. Muscarella, Anthony D. Macagnone, Chris J. Coschignano, Rebecca Alesia, Elizabeth Faughnan, and Joseph G. Pinto). Council members are elected on a town-wide basis, as there are no election districts within the town. Two other elected positions are Town Clerk (Steven L. Labriola) and Receiver of Taxes (James J. Stefanich). All elected positions are held by Republicans.
