His proper name (as well as the name of his species) was given in 1989 for his appearance in a Star Wars role-playing game.

R2-X2 : An R2 series astromech droid used by Theron Nett in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. R2-X2 could have been destroyed in the Battle of Yavin when a TIE fighter pilot shot down Theron Nett's X-Wing.
R5-D4 : Red and white R5-series astromech droid produced by Industrial Automation. At 0.97 meters in height, R5-D4 is a droid with a trapezoid head, aligned with a classically sullen robotic visage. As a symptom of the R5-series droids, R5-D4's motivator blew in the midst of a transaction with Owen Lars on Tatooine, resulting in the ownership of R2-D2 by Luke Skywalker. After surviving an attack by an Imperial platoon inside a Jawa sandcrawler, R5-D4 was acquired by a group of covert Rebel agents, and eventually assisted the Rebel Alliance at the Battle of Endor under the command of General Elston.
Dack Ralter - portrayed by John Morton : Luke Skywalker's snowspeeder gunner in The Empire Strikes Back. The spelling of the character's first name vacillates between Dack and Dak.

Sabé - portrayed by Keira Knightley : One of Padmé Amidala's handmaidens in The Phantom Menace. Sabé is the queen's decoy; for parts of the movie, the Sabé character is addressed as Amidala. After the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Sabé continued to serve the eventual successor to Amidala in the Imperial Senate—Jar Jar Binks. She remained suspicious of the circumstances of Amidala's death, joining forces with Bail Organa, ally of the late Queen. In her investigations for the House of Organa, Sabé had the opportunity to interact with young Princess Leia Organa and her friend Winter. Sabé tutored the girls; Organa in matters of court etiquette and diplomacy, and Winter in security and bodyguard tactics. These skills would later greatly serve both as agents of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
