Kartar Singh wasn't in the Original 12, but he was recalled after contestant Moni Shawde decided to quit the show because of her daughter. Shreya Ghoshal picked him as the fourth contestant in her team.

1st week elimination
The episode started with some recaps, and where Judges/Mentors challenged each other by selecting songs for the contestants of the other teams. The performer of the day was "Nirmitee" group. Manjeera and Nirmiti were in the bottom two and based on the judges' votes, Manjeera was eliminated.

2nd week elimination
Sonu Nigam didn't show up, however Pritam replaced him and the bottom two were Sahiti and Shovan. Pritam chose Shovan while Shreya and Sanjay Leela Bhansali chose Sahiti, therefore, Shovon was eliminated.

3rd week elimination
The bottom two were the group Last Minute and Piysh Kapoor, Sonu and Shreya chose Piyush while Sanjay Leela Bhansali picked Last Minute resulting in Last Minute getting eliminated

4th week elimination
The bottom two were Amit Jadhav and Piyush Kapoor. Sonu and Shreya picked Amit with only Sanjay Leela Bhansali picked Piyush so Piyush got eliminated 2-1.

5th week elimination
The bottom two were Sajda Sisters and Sahiti G

, after face-off session, Judge Guru Sanjay Leela Bhansali voted for Sajda Sisters and Sonu Nigam voted for Sahiti, Shreya then voted for Sajda sisters, as a result, Sahiti got eliminated.

6th week elimination
The bottom two were Amit Jadhav and Sajda sisters. All three judges picked Sajda sisters so Amit got eliminated.

7th week elimination
The bottom two were Kartar Singh and Deewana group. All three judges picked the Deewana group so Kartar got eliminated.

8th week elimination
The bottom two were Seema Jha and Deewana group. All three judges announced that this week there will be no eliminations. So both were safe and will perform next week.

9th week elimination
The bottom two were again Seema Jha and Deewana group. Sonu Niggam & Shreya Ghoshal picked Seema Jha and Sanjay Leela Bhansali was with Deewana Group so Deewana Group got eliminated 2-1.

10th week elimination
The bottom two were Seema Jha and Nirmitee Group. The judges decision eliminated Nirmitee group. As a result, Seema Jha, Sajda sisters & Geet Sagar

  • Manjeera Ganguly: She was the first contestant who got eliminated from X Factor India and was in the group of the judge Shreya Ghoshal. She was also a contestant on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 but got out early.
  • Shovan Ganuly: He was the second contestant who got eliminated from X Factor India and was in the group of judge Sonu Nigam.
  • Last Minute Group: This group has nine members. This was the first group eliminated from X Factor India. This group with judge Sanjay Leela Bansali.
  • Piyush Kapoor: He was the fourth person eliminated from X Factor India and was in the group of judge Sonu Nigam.

  • Sajda Sisters: This group of three consists of 2 aunts and their niece: 40 year old Anita, 36 year old Rekha and 20 year old Shivranjini. They belong to a common household in Valsad, and so these women decided to take the mantle and showcase their singing talent to the whole country. Without any vocal training, they managed to reach the top three of the competition. This group is also in team of Sanjay Leela Bansali.
