History

Stoel Rives traces its lineage back to the Portland-based firm of Davies, Biggs, Strayer, Stoel and Boley, which was founded in 1907. In 1979, this firm merged with another large Portland firm, Rives, Bonyhadi and Smith, which had been founded in 1935. In 1987, the firm acquired the Seattle
