on September 25, 2010. Beverlöv pulled out due to injury, however, and was replaced by fellow Swede Jani Lax
. Lax would then also withdraw just three days before the fight.
Instead, his next title defence was scheduled to come on December 4, 2010 at BAMMA 5: The Beast vs. Crazy Bear against France's Olivier Pastor but again his fight was cancelled, as the whole BAMMA 5 event was canceled due to extreme weather conditions.
Sinclair was supposed to defend his World Lightweight Championship against Leonardo Santos
at BAMMA 7
. The bout, however, was cancelled after Santos refused to fly to the event. Diego Vital stepped up on one day's notice to take the fight. Sinclair won via KO in the third round.
