Introduction

MSD was established as the Malaysian Students Center in Jordan on March 1, 1996. It was initially headed by the Education Attache

 and one Locally Recruited Staff (LRS). The office was located at the Ground Floor of the Malaysian embassy. In 2005, the center was upgraded to a department.

  • Enhance MSD Jordan management system from time to time, to ensure fast services and compatible with current situation.
  • Promote Malaysian Higher Education system and facilitate interested foreigners who wish to study in Malaysia.

Students

To date there are 769 Malaysian students throughout Jordan and 519 in Syria, studying in various universities, fields and levels. Major courses taken are Medicine, Dentistry, Arabic Language and Islamic Study.

Malaysian Student Department Jordan also act as an umbrella for Malaysian Students Council, Malaysian Students Zone Societies and Malaysian States Students Welfare Body, both in Jordan and Syria.

Activities

MSD Jordan involves and support activities and programs organized by Malaysian students in Jordan and Syria. Activities mainly evolved educational, spiritual and sporting events. The department also held a yearly grand event for the Malaysian Independence Day and Eid Ul-Fitr celebration.
