On 1 May 2007 James Holder was appointed Managing Partner of Charles Russell, taking over from Grant Howell, who had been Managing Partner for eight years. Holder qualified in 1978 and joined Charles Russell in 1987. He was Head of the Corporate Finance Group from 1997 to 2000, and Head of the Corporate and Commercial Service Group from 2000 to 2007.
