Dorrien currently lives in Wellesley, MA but works in his studio in Randolf Center, Vermont. Dorrien graduated from the Montserrat College of Art
, where he is now a trustee, and studied bronze casting at the Massachusetts College of Art
. He has been a professor at the art department at Wellesley College since 1984 and teaches occasionally at the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center at West Rutland, Vermont
. He is currently an artistic adviser to the center.
