Reagan High School had their first graduating class in 2007 and the school has recently gained notable local fame with their cross country, women's golf and academic teams. Grandview golf course, which was home to the Reagan golf teams, was closed in late 2007 due to the excessive city taxes levied after annexation and was replaced by a housing development.

. The tree is also said to have provided shelter to travelers during storms. The park is also home to a well-populated duck pond and fishing and picnic areas.

Another attraction is Old Richmond Grill, an old style restaurant that is frequented by many of Pfafftown's residents and has even been the subject of local newspaper articles.

Pfafftown is home to many other nice, "local" family restaurants where people gather for good food as well as to see and spend time with their Pfafftown neighbors. Southern Family Restaurant and El Maquey Mexican Restaurant are two of the more popular establishments. The Waterway Brewing Company's taproom is a popular gathering spot for many locals and is the largest craft brewery in Pfafftown.

Transportation

Major roads in Pfafftown include Yadkinville Road, connecting Reynolda Road (NC 67) in Winston-Salem to Old US-421 and eventually to Yadkinville, NC. Other major roads include NC 67, connecting NC 150 in Winston-Salem, NC to US 21 in Jonesville, NC; Transou Road, connecting NC 67 to Yadkinville Road; Skylark Road, connecting Transou Road to Vienna-Dozier Road; Lewisville-Vienna Road, connecting Yadkinville Road to Shallowford Road in Lewisville, NC.

Annexation

As of September, 2006 most of Pfafftown east of Transou Road is part of the city of Winston-Salem. North Carolina law currently has little restrictions on cities annexing territories, so many Pfafftown citizens were unable to successfully resist this forced annexation; many lawsuits took place between the actual annexation in 2004 and the submission in 2006.
