Pescara railway station , also known as Pescara Centrale railway station (Italian:Stazione di Pescara Centrale) is a railway station of Italian city of Pescara
in the Adriatic line and the line for capotronco Sulmona
and Rome
. The station serves an average of 3.5 million people a year and is located in the central city.
The commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni SpA, while plants and railway infrastructure are the responsibility of the Italian Railway Network (RFI).
The initial draft of the new passenger building was drawn up in 1962 by Corrado Cameli Service Work of the State Railways and included a steel frame stays.
The change in the structure Stayed in steel with a prestressed concrete and its structural calculations were carried out in 1970 by "Studio Engineer John Cerasoli and Piero di Pescara, with the advice of the engineer Carlo Guidi Baskets necessary because it was one of the early work in prestressed concrete in the Italian State Railways.
The work was completed in 1987 after many years of work. The opening of the new station has meant a lot in terms of planning, as the entire railway line was raised and transferred to a home with no intersections with city streets, thus freeing the level crossing.
The station has eight tracks and two linear binary logs, or the trunk 4 ° north, from where a train to Teramo, and 5 ° south trunk, from which the only rail link between Pescara and Campobasso.
