The road passes a few businesses and narrows back into a two-lane undivided road, heading into wooded areas with a few residences. PA 288 continues into a mix of farmland and woodland with some homes, passing through Lillyville and turning to the southeast. The road becomes Zelienople Road and heads through more open agricultural areas with occasional woods and homes before heading south of Hereford Manor Lake. The route turns south through more wooded and agricultural areas, passing to the east of Zelienople Municipal Airport
