History

By Spring 2007, Jett8 was expected to obtain from the Government of Singapore an air-operator's certificate and the air-traffic rights required to operate the company's scheduled international network. The airline, headed by Louis Tan, a former Singapore Airlines

Jett8 Airlines was previously known as Jett8 Airlines Cargo when it was incorporated in 2005. However, on the 1st of April 2010, the company was renamed Jett8 Airlines.

Accidents and Incidents

On December 17, 2009: A Jett8 Airlines B747-200F, 9V-JEB, experienced an uncontained engine failure of its number four engine while on climb out of Singapore to its destination Bangkok. The crew returned to and landed in Singapore without further incident.
