Broxden Junction

Broxden Junction is one of the busier and more important road junctions in Scotland
. It is located on the outskirts of Perth
. The roundabout
is an important hub of the Scottish road network, a major junction on the A9 north-south route, and the UK's northernmost motorway junction. All of the six cities
in Scotland can be reached from the junction and are signposted from one of its exits.
Several bus services travel from or stop at Broxden, including a park and ride
service into the city centre; it is also the central point for the Megabus
coach service in Scotland.
Interestingly, the roundabout was originally designed with the future intention of connecting the northbound A9 and the M90, with the roundabout being replaced by a grade separated
junction, and in fact the Scottish Government has recently revealed proposals to replace the iconic roundabout with a flyover. This is controversial however, with many people wanting the Government to focus more on fully dualling the Perth-Inverness section of the A9 as soon as possible.
