  • Football: 2011 IHSA 7A State Champions. 2010 IHSA 6A State Champions. Semifinals (1991–92, 92–93, 93–94, 94–95, 2000–01); 2nd place (1975–76). The 1994-95 team was voted as the second greatest team of all time in nic-9/10 history, as voted on buy a panel of judges and internet voting via the Rockford Register Star.

Clubs and Student Organizations

  • Anime Club: The Anime Club discusses various types of Japanese Anime, mangas, video games, as well as the culture.
  • Bass Fishing Club: An IHSA activity for those interest in perfecting their angling skills.
  • Broadcasting Club: This group creates live streaming internet coverage of Boylan events.
  • Boylan Book Club (BBC): The Boylan Book Club selects and discusses books (and movies based on books) for the enjoyment of reading. The BBC also sponsors author visits to Boylan and hosts "meet 'n greet" receptions for them and helps with the annual Book Fair at Barnes and Nobles that supports the Boylan Library.
  • Chinese Club: A club for the students of the Chinese language and any others interested in Chinese culture.
  • French Club: Open to students of this language to develop a richer understanding of French culture through activities and outings.
  • German Club: Students of the German language, as well as students interested in German culture, may participate in the club's monthly activities, including dinners and rallies.
  • Green Club: Promotes awareness of the resources in our environment through sponsoring projects.
  • Italian Club: This club has the intention of giving students the opportunity to learn about and be engaged in the richness of Italian culture and history. They meet once a week to explore different topics including Italian art, music, culinary traditions, guest speakers, Italian card games, bocce, movies, field trips, tasting/making Italian treats, and dinners at local Italian restaurants.
  • Key Club: Kiwanis Educating Youth is a service organization open to all. The club sponsors various projects throughout the year designed to help the less fortunate or those in need.
  • Math Club/Team: The club meets prior to the regional Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics competition. A subsequent meeting takes place before the state level of this competition.
