History

In 2001, Axiom grew rapidly and introduced its first retail outlet in the UAE.

In 2003, Axiom started its regional roll-out, and has since established presence in Kuwait

, acquired a 40% share of the Axiom Telecom. The relationship is expected to further accelerate Axiom's growth and strengthen its market position using Dubai Holding’s vast infrastructure which has interests in sectors such as ICT, media, tourism.

At the start of 2007, Axiom enhanced the program for its Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile phones customers with its free pick up and delivery service.

Today Axiom owns and operates stores through partner arrangements in the UAE with Spinneys

 and Union Co-op outlets. Axiom is also the exclusive telecom partner for Adnoc, Emarat, Enoc & Eppco petrol stations where mobile phone accessories are sold in over 350 locations.

With this strategy of highly branded conveniently located outlets with petrol stations helping drive the rapid retail expansion, Axiom Telecom's regional roll-out has achieved more than 650 points of presence in the Middle East.

In June 2011 Dubai Holding sold 14% of Axiom Telecom.
