Other information

Tarikere is immortalised in the popular Kannada tongue-twister "Tarikere Kere Eri mele mooru kari kuri meyutittu". This was also used as the title for a film song in the Kannada film Devara Duddu and was sung by the famous singer, S P Balasubrahmanyam.
Every year in tarikere,procession of Lord subramanya (Car Festival) will be taken out during December-January month (Pushya Shuddha Shasti), which attracts large crowd.mEvery year in the month of February all Tarikeren Kurubas celebrate one great festival called " Ammana Habba".
