Narasimharajapura is located at 13.62°N 75.52°E. It has an average elevation of 643 metres (2109 feet). Initially Narasimharajapura was so called as "Yedehalli".During the half of 19th century Mysore state's Narasimharaja wadiyar visited Yedehalli the town's name got changed as Narasimharajapura. Later on Narasimharajapura turned as N.R.PURA.
