In October 2007, Stephen was invited by Sarah Brown

marking the ITV Carer of the Year Awards, of which he was a regional judge.
In November 2008 Stephen left ITV Anglia and announced he planned to emigrate to Australia in the spring of 2009.
Also in November 2008 he joined national breakfast station GMTV
in London as a reporter.
Stephen then emigrated to Sydney, Australia and briefly worked for the 24 hour news channel Sky News Australia before joining Network Ten's Ten News
.
He is currently the supervising producer of Ten's Morning News, a national news programme broadcast across Australia 0900 to 1000 weekdays.
