History
Stenungsund was once only an idyllic bathing and vacation location on the Swedish west coast. Since the 1950s it has become the center for the petrochemical industry. Its distinguished silhouette is four giant chimneys, belonging to a large power plant. Another landmark is the Tjörn Bridge, a bridge to the island Tjörn.
