. It is situated on 49.000 m2 of greenbelt land on the outskirts of Chertsey in Surrey, and has approximately 575 pupils of whom 130 are in the sixth form.

Academics

The school has an excellent academic reputation, consistently producing outstanding GCSE and A-Level results every year. It is in the Financial Times' Top 50 Schools (A Levels/ GCSEs). In 2011 50% of GCSE grades were at A*, and at A level 88% of the results were at A*-B grades.

Among the many activities on offer are gliding, fencing, and rowing, and the school boasts national champions in rowing and gymnastics, with rowers representing Great Britain in July 2011 versus France.

History

The school was founded in 1725 by a wealthy Chertsey merchant, Sir William Perkins. Originally for twenty five boys, the school extended its education to include twenty-five girls in 1736. In 1944, the school became a voluntary controlled
