Harris is currently the Head Coach and Technical Director with Capital City FC of Ottawa within the professional first division of the Canadian Soccer League

 to serve as their men's soccer head coach. Harris started coaching at the high school level on the women's side with back to back postseason appearances and a CIF-SS semi-final appearance. The immediate success allowed him the opportunity to move back to the men's side and a head coaching position. Harris produced 4 straight post season appearances for only the second time in school history and 2001 was the first post season appearance in six years for the program. A century league title in 2002 and runner-ups in 2003 and 2004 never losing in the first round of the playoffs and reaching as far as a quarter final appearance in 2003. Harris remains the second winningest coach in Canyon High School men’s soccer history with a .729 winning percentage and is the most successful men’s coach at Canyon High School
