In June 2008, Crawford became a patron for the Teens Unite Fighting Cancer charity which is dedicated to improving the lives of young people aged between 13-24 with life limiting illnesses. Of the charity she commented: "When I found out about the charity I just knew it was something that I wanted to be involved in. I think that it's fantastic that Teens Unite do, and will continue to, support young people from the ages of 13-24, a group that can easily be misunderstood, and are often grouped in with young children or much older adults which may not be appropriate for them. Teens Unite has seen a void and got to work on it, consequently taking care of young people's needs during their toughest times."
