It derives its name from a breast-shaped hill on the seashore. In the Shandong Peninsula, there are many mountains named as "YU", for example, Kun Yu Mountain and Ju Yu Mountain. Therefore, "YU" may mean "mountain" in the ancient Dongyi language.
