Encyclopedia
Rolla Senior High School has a population of about 1050 students. The school's mascot is the Bulldog with the colors of maroon and silver (formerly maroon, gray, and gold). The high school has many clubs offered, including Student Council (StuCo), Key Club, Octagon Club, DECA, FFA, FCCLA, Chess Club, Improvisation Club, Spanish Club, German Club, French Club, Latin Club, Game Club, and the new addition Link Crew. There are two forms of publications at RHS: The Growler yearbook and The Echo newspaper.

History

Founded in 1921, Rolla Senior High School has a rich history. In 1989 an addition was made to the high school which nearly doubled its classrooms. For the most part the hard sciences remain in the older portions of the building and other subjects are dispersed in between balls.

During the 2006–2007 school year, the parking lot was expanded to accommodate the growing number of commuting students with their own vehicles. The extra room was created by tearing down a nearby house.

The high school started the 2008–2009 year with a new principal, Mr. Nathan Hoven, after the previous principal Dr. Roger Berkbuegler after 28 years as the principal of Rolla Senior High School.
