Geography

Owk is located at 15.2167°N 78.1167°E. It has an average elevation of 194 meters (639 feet). Owk is famous for one of the largest caves called Belum caves. Here we can find famous temple of Lord Chennakeshava, belongs to the Great Sri Krishna Deva Raya era. We can also find famous avatar of Adisakti worshiped as Mulamma.

History

Places of tourist interest

Owk is much known for its reservoir constructed within the project of SRBC. It has the capocity of 4 t.m.c. water and the construction is beautiful and known for its scenic beauty. During rainy season water fall of 'Gollaleru' attracts many tourists.
