Gameplay

As all typical racing games you can steer left and right as well as brake and accelerate. There is also a Turbo meter which fills up with time and is usable in 3 levels, the first is a short blue boost, the 2nd is a longer green boost and the final red boost is the longest and swings the players weapon around if available. Turbo dash is done by twisting accelerate twice while the turbo meter is at any of the 3 levels.

However the unique gameplay in Motor Raid is the combat, as such there is a punch and kick button.
  • Punch: allows you to use your primary weapon such as, but not limited to, a War hammer

. These weapons have a good chance of knocking your opponent off their motorcycle and are best used for opponents beside or ahead of you. These weapons can be lost by throwing them or being hard hit.
If the primary weapon is available, you may hold the punch button to activate an aiming reticle, if you lock on to an opponent ahead of you, release the punch button and your player will throw his weapon at them for a guaranteed knock down. This causes you to lose your primary weapon but obtain theirs if they have one. You also steer worse so this technique is recommended only on long stretches of straight track or coming off a curve.

If the primary weapon is lost, press the punch button for a quick punch that might steal your opponents primary weapon if they have one and you knock them down. Alternatively you may hold the punch button for the player to use their permanent secondary weapon, such as Claws or a Whip

which guarantees a knockdown if hit and allows you to steal your opponents weapon.

  • Kick: Allows you to kick your opponents, this only pushes your opponents away and does not result in a knockdown. It is best used against opponents approaching you from behind.

The game starts by asking you to select one of the four player, each with unique stats and weapons. Then you are asked to choose between "Championship" which has you attempt to win 3 races within the time limit, or "Practice" which allows you to practice any stage you want and attempt beat the time record within the alloted time limit. At the start of the race you will have a primary weapon, secondary weapon and level 1 in your Turbo meter.

In "Championship" mode you usually have 3 races (unless you place first in all of them, then its 4) and they always start on Yendas. Finishing the race in 1st place changes your next stage to a more difficult one than if 2nd or lower place is achieved. The races are as follows:

YendasJunos (if placed 1st in Yendas) → Bowel (if placed 1st in Junos) → Segal (Bonus stage, if placed 1st in Bowel, else the game ends)

YendasIdo (if placed 2nd or lower in Yendas) → Junos (if placed 1st in Ido)
