He is widely acclaimed for his Dars-e-Qur'an (discourses and commentaries on the Qur'an), Tarjuman-e-Qur'an (Translation of the Qur'an in easily understandable Urdu, Hindi & Marathi), Lughatul Qur'an (Qur'anic Arabic Dictionary in Urdu, English, Hindi, Gujrati, Bangla and Turkish), Vigyan Yug Mein Islam Dharam (in Hindi), Aurat Ki Tauheen (in Urdu) and several other books.

Maulana Parekh deals with modern challenges and conflicts with a Qur'anic approach along with scientific reasoning and apt logic for the inquisitive or doubtful mind.

He was the founder and treasurer and an influential member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). He was a respectable figure among all religious heads and was called several times to give lectures at Geeta Mandir, Hanuman Mandir and Catholic Church. Based on Jama Masjid in Mominpura of Nagpur was well known for his regular lectures on the Quran for over 50 years. He appealed and encouraged to Indian Muslims to learn Arabic and understand Nobel Qur'an without fail in all his lectures.

He died on September 11, 2007 at the age of 85 after brief illness, in Mumbai.
