 in 1940. In November 1988, the route was diverted at Edmonton to Edmonton Green. 102A covered the section to Chingford for only two weeks before being replaced by a diversion of the 144 (now 444). In 1991, saw a final change in the route, which was an extension to Brent Cross in place of a route which was being withdrawn from service (26). Route 326 replaced this route, running to Brent Cross via Hendon

 instead of Golders Green.

On 1 September 2007, Route 102 was converted to 24-hour service but only running from Edmonton Green to Golders Green Station. It is unknown when it will be extended to Brent Cross Shopping Centre.

In March 2008, Brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double deckers entered service.
