Education

In 1998, Lopez began studying at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima, where he worked with the Peruvian composer Enrique Iturriaga. He was admitted to the Sibelius Academy in 2000, and studied there with Veli-Matti Puumala and Eero Hämeenniemi. After being awarded a Master of Music degree, he was admitted to University of California, Berkeley
