History

In the 1950s, some of the gentry in the central Taiwan area proposed to establish one more university in this area; accordingly the preparation was started. It was entitled Feng Chia College of Engineering and Business, to commemorate Mr. Feng-Chia Chiu (Qiu Fengjia). In 1961 the College was formally established near the Da-Tun Mountain in northern Taichung
