History

The club was formed on 16 August 1912 still inside Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was formed as OKSK, Omladinski Kaćki Sport Klub. Before World War I

After the war the club was reagrouped again in 1923. In summer 1926 changes its name to Sport Klub Jugović Kać, SK Jugović Kać. The first club president after the war was Andrija Najtman. In 1926 the president became Milivoj Dobanovački. Until the World War II

 the other presidents were Sima Tomić, Toša Stajić, Sava Botoški, Rada Dražić and Mita Šević. In 1934 the club becomes member of the Yugoslav Football Association and since 1934 begins competing in national lower leagues.

 region, the club is renamed Levente. A number of players and club members lost their life in a struggle for the Yugoslav liberation and a monument in their memory was built in the Siget sports centre.

The town of Kać was liberated on 24 October 1944 and the club soon begins activity again, this time renamed into Omladinac and as part of the youth (Omladina) organization that was the engine of all sports activities in the town. The club would be also named Crvena zvezda (Red Star) for a short period until 1952 when the it was renamed Jugović again. In this hard post-war period, special dedication to the club was provided by Stevan Stankov who would become an honorary lifetime president of the club. However the club wan´t have much sports success playing mostly in lower regional leagues. During the 1970s the youth squads were created and the club became part f a wider sports society with same name. It is also in this period that the club begins playing in the Yugoslav Cup

. In 1977 with the help of many club supporters and volunteers, the infrastructure was modernised.

After this period the clubs begins archiving better results and after several promotions, in 1988, became member of the Vojvodina League West. Since then it will play in that league the following two decades. During the 1990s the infrastructure was further improved. In the period between 1974 and 1994, Živko Kondić, the sports society president, is the person behind all clubs archivements. He will entirely dedicate himself to the club until his death in 1994. During the late 1990s the club will suffer a crisis, but all this changed with the new millennium, with a series of good results culminated with the promotion to the newly formed First League of Vojvodina (4th national league) for its 90th birthday, in the 2001-02 season. In 2004 Jovo Petrović was elected president and the infrastructure works were completed and the financial situation was stabilised with the help of many donations, sponsors, the company Unimet, the municipality of Kać and the department for sports of the city of Novi Sad. In 2006 Vukašin Plavšić was elected president.
