. Envelope was formed in May 1998 and has to this day been actively involved in performing.
The band, as of today, consists of three permanent members - Christoffer Høyer, Jesper Valentin Holm and Sune Ørvad - and various bass guitarists.


Members


Envelope has been started by Christoffer Høyer, who is thereby the frontman of the band. Together with Jesper he forms the 'core' of Envelope.

Christoffer Høyer, in the meantime as being the frontman, is Envelope's songwriter, guitarist, pianist and, most important of all, vocals. He has long been collaborating with such songwriters as Hiroaki Serizawa

 of Japan - who has had more than 50 #1 hits in Asia and sold in excess of 15 million singles - and Adam Argyle of Britain - who has written the single "Next Best Superstar" for ex-Sporty Spice Girl, Melanie C.

Jesper Valentin Holm became a member of Envelope in February 1999 and has since been the drummer and percussionist, as well as the co-frontman.

Discography

Envelope recorded its debut album - Stay - throughout the summer of 2000. Co-produced by Envelope and Michael Hoffman, it was released by the Swedish label, Turmic Records, in Denmark on 22 October 2001. Shortly after it was also released in such countries as Norway

 and receiving a considerable amount of airplay on large numbers of various radio stations, Envelope had established good grounds for the release of their album Stay. Soon after the release, the song "Stay" became a radio-hit in countries such as Norway and Sweden, where more than fifty radio stations played the song quite frequently, many of them having it A-listed.

Envelope is currently recording its second album, due to be released in October 2008, being produced by Boe Larsen. It shall feature songs such as "Open Window", "Rust Away" and "Lonely Train", which have already gained populairty by being played at various festivals and performances.

Achievements

Envelope's newest single "Open Window", having already been released as a single in Denmark, has gained wide attention from websites such as GarageBand.com

In 2004, two of Envelope's songs - "Stay" and "Don't You Want to Ask Me?" - were selected to be played on the National American TV show called "Good Girls Don't", broadcast by Oprah Winfrey

Christoffer Høyer's partnership works with above mentioned songwriters such as Hiroaki Serizawa and Adam Argyle are not only earning himself and the band more fame and respect, but are also helping him establish his title as a successful songwriter.

One of Envelope's newest (and yet unreleased) songs - "In The Money", written by Christoffer Høyer and producer Boe Larsen - has recently been translated into Finnish by the artist Simo Silmu (Finland's fourth best selling artist at the moment) and is due to be released on his album Punaisessa talossa on August 15, 2008.
