History

CPI(ML) Janashakti was formed in 1992 when seven revolutionary communist groups merged. The seven groups were:
  • Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Resistance
  • Unity Centre of Communist Revolutionaries of India (Marxist–Leninist) (Muktigami) faction
  • Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Agami Yug
  • Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) P. V. Rao (break-away from Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) New Democracy)
  • Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Khokan Majumdar
  • All India Coordination Committee of Communist Revolutionaries
    All India Coordination Committee of Communist Revolutionaries

, and a peasants movement were built up.

But the unity didn't last for long. In 1996 a group left the party, and they later formed Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Unity Initiative (today part of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) (Kanu Sanyal)). A series of splits followed. Towards the end of the 1990s the party reoriented itself towards the underground armed struggle, and pulled out of the open mass work.

Modern

Today the party is primarily concentrated in Andhra Pradesh

. The party split into several factions, which work with little or without coordination. The main faction is the group led by Koora Rajanna

Another faction, the South Regional Provincial Committee, merged with Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) (Chandra Pulla Reddy) on April 11, 2004, thus forming the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Janashakti (Chandra Pulla Reddy).

central jail. Many cases that were booked on Koora Rajanna were canceled for lack of proper evidences. At 2007 Veeresam was secretary of CPI(M-L) Janashakti. A.P. state. He was also arrested on July 2009 and now the A.P state secretary is com. Subhash, adhikaara pratinidhi Azaad. The party had a leading rol in Andra Pradesh revolutionary movement. An A.P. state committee of Janasakthy declared that Mr. Koora Rajanna was not a member of CPI(M-L) Janashakti.april 2011 at guntur district of A.P were arested 7members of cpi[m-l]janasakthi.and 2dbbl guns,one 8mm rifel,one 9mm pistol,and two tapanchas were lost at this inciedent.party bulletin was released on the month of june2011 the name is janasakthi"peoples unity" in telugu.now the party was organised by the name of CPI[M-L]JANASAKTHI Re Organising Committe.and also they are trying to merge with them the CPI[m-l]Prajaprathighatana party.at june2011 the andhra regeinol committe of CPI[M-L]Prajaprathighatana majority members are joind to CPI[M-L]janasakthi under the presidency of com Vijayakumar.
