The winners are Bridget and Adam, but Bridget decides to go to university instead of joining the Pro Circuit, so Loren gets the wild card after Cassie literally 'draws the short straw' (as they both have the same number of points in the final surf-off so they decide who gets the wild card this way). Reception
Series one was very popular in Australia, with high ratings, critically and by audience numbers. Series two was largely regarded as inferior to the first and fans believed it did not contain as much comedy and drama as the first series. The second series is also noted for having a lack of a storyline and used too many cameos to fill in episodes. There was a lack of the polish that viewers saw in series one. Public and critic opinion of the third series have been mixed, although many regard that the series is trying to be "over" funny to make up for the lack of humour in the second series.
