Climate

The climate of the region is extremely cold, characterized by the way in which weather conditions are able to rapidly change. Average temperatures in January range from -18° to -24°C. Temperatures are below zero for 7 months of the year - from October to April. Snow lies on the ground for 180 to 200 days - again, from October to the start of May. The warmest month is July, when average temperatures are around 16°C to 18°C. Annual precipitation is 400 to 550 millimeters, and the average wind speed is between 5 and 7 meters per second. The region is part of the river basins of the Lesser Ob
