Transmitters
The main transmitter is 104.7FM, broadcasting from Churchdown Hill near to jct 11 on the M5. The station also has several infill transmitters on AM and FM. The Stroud transmitter broadcasts on 95.0 FM & the Cirencester transmitter broadcasts on 95.8FM.
In 1992 Home Office reclaimed its original AM frequency (FM reception is poor in some areas due to the hilly nature of the county), but after much government debate a new AM frequency of 1413kHz was eventually allocated to the station. There are AM transmitters broadcasting on 1413 at Stow on the Wold and at Berkeley Heath.
The station will commence broadcasting on DAB digital radio when local services are provided via the Muxco local multiplex. Muxco currently plan to merge the "Gloucestershire" and "Herefordshire & Worcestershire" multiplexes and was due to launch in early 2011.
