The Experience

UCAA provides opportunities for alumni to connect, get involved and give back to UConn in whatever capacity they are able. Many volunteers host group meetings in their local area all across the United States. In addition to the numerous and far-reaching programs offered, the UConn Alumni Association hosts three major events annually: Alumni Weekend, Homecoming, and the Alumni Awards Ceremony.

Homecoming week festivities

Together with UConn Athletics, UCAA facilitates Homecoming festivities the Sunday before UConn's football team plays the home game of the season. These events include:
  • Sunday - Homecoming Parade (Storrs Campus)
  • Thursday - Lip Sync Contest (Storrs Campus - Gampel Pavilion)
  • Friday - Awards Ceremony (Storrs Campus)
  • Saturday - UCAA Spirit Village, Alumni Tailgate, and Game Kickoff (Rentchler Field, Hartford, Connecticut
