Stéfan Louw

Stéfan Louw is a South African lyric tenor. He was born in 1973.
Louw started off his career in 1995 as a member of the Pretoria State Theatre Ad-hoc Opera Chorus. In 1996 he received the Chorister of the Year Award. During the five years he was a member of the Opera Chorus he sang in more than 20 productions.
Stefan made his debut in 1999 as Beppe in I Pagliacci, for which he received a FNB Vita Opera Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
At the beginning of 2011 Mr. Louw started a non-profit opera-company called Sempre Opera. The aim of this company is to bring high quality opera to smaller theatres all over South Africa.
