The band has won several regional competitions, including being voted "Best Band" by the readers of Albany's Metroland

In the summer of 2007 Sirsy placed fourth of over 1,000 entries in the "Last Band Standing", a national competition sponsored by mp3.com for a slot in the 2007 Lollapalooza festival.
