, 'Sarang' means Peacock. "Sarangpur" - a place where peacocks live. You would find lot of peacocks in the beautiful gardens of the BAPS Swaminarayan temple.

The village is small and lies at the border of Ahmedabad district and the nearest city is Botad

The village is about 153km. away from Ahmedabad. To visit this place in during the early morning, 10:30 pm & 12:30 pm buses run from and to Ahmedabad.
