The school is currently split across two sites. The Upper Site is the former Seafield Convent building, whilst the lower site, situated on Myers Road East is the former St Bede's. The sites are within five minutes walk of each other and are connected via the local authority using a high speed LAN. The school was used as a setting for the film Nowhere Boy

History
The name of the present school is taken from the Order of Nuns (The Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary) who previously ran the Grammar school. It accepts boys and girls aged 11-18, primarily from one of its Catholic feeder primary schools including Great Crosby Catholic Primary School, Ursuline Catholic Primary School and the St. Edmund's and St. Thomas' Catholic Primary School.The school is currently split across two sites.
