In the fall of 2004, information about Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School was recovered from a CD found on the body of a dead Iraqi insurgent killed in Baghdad

They went on to beat Haddonfield and Hasbrouck Heights to win the first girl's Group II State Championship title in school history.

In 2007 and 2008 the Boys Track and Field Team went undefeated and became division champions for the first time in many years.

The Rumson-Fair Haven Varsity Football team won the Patriot Division in 2006, 2007, and 2009. They advanced to the Central Jersey Group II championship in 2007 and the semi-finals in 2009. They went undefeated in 2009 (8-0) during the regular season and finished the season 9-2, breaking the school record for most regular season wins.
