He received his musical education at Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (Rotterdams Conservatorium), where he majored in piano and applied electronics (studio engineering and synthesizer programming). In 1995, he left the conservatory in his final year before graduation to start his own record label, Prevue Productions (catalogue prefix 'PP'). He built his own studio, located at Katwijk aan Zee, and started working as a producer, studio musician and composer.
