History

In 1927 the former independent settlement Osdorf was made a part of the town Altona; in 1938 it was merged into the Hanseatic city of Hamburg with the Greater Hamburg Act.

In 2006 according to the statistical office of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, Osdorf has a total area of 7.3 km². The southern border of Osdorf to the quarter Nienstedten is along the railway tracks of the city train
