Treble Charger was originally an indie rock
group until its 1997 album Maybe It's Me

Palter was fired from the group in 1996 and moved to the Netherlands

Palter is also an active composer. His A Midsummer Night's Dream
was performed at the Old Globe Theater. He was also the featured instrumental soloist with La Jolla Playhouse's A Scottish Play. Palter has also made recordings for Off Broadway and Broadway
shows. He has also recorded percussion-based works for Tzadik, Mode, Innova, and New World Records
Palter was a Lecturer
in Music
at UCSD in 2006/07 where he earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts in 2005. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Music at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
